 Basalt columns, rising 100 feet straight up, line the canyon like a curtain. |
 All racked up with some 20 pounds of gear, Im ready to lead the first pitch. |
 Slowly picking my way up along the crack, Im carefully placing the hardware. |
 This route is called Party in Your Pants for good reason! |
 Jay is set to lead the next route, Party..., a 5.8 difficulty. |
 Successfully at the top, Jay will now set a belay for me to climb next. |
 Another lead for me - I think Im getting better at this! |
 Vantage contains more climbs and routes than we can possibly do in a day. |
