Another glorious day in the mountains, as Trisha, Laura and Duane put on some shell gear to protect from the wind.

James is amazed that Bill can get his teeth around the mega-sandwich.

Visibility is slowly getting worse, but we still decide to continue, being cautious of the surroundings and conditions.

Lots of snow. Little visibility. And plenty of time. During winter snow trips, there's little reason to rush.

Picking out a route that avoids dangerous slopes, we continue onward and upward.

Discerning the sky from the snow is ever-increasingly difficult.

Finally, the sun makes a momentary appearance, as James looks at the path made by our group.

Until this point, there was nothing to photograph, due to the lack of visibility. "James, is your face cold? Or are you getting ready for a hold-up?"

Another day, but similar conditions. After climbing up a steep slopw, Trisha and Misuk pause near the shelter of a frozen tree.

Again, with poor visibility, no photos. Here, Trisha descends a steep slope. Earlier, I fell two feet because I could not see my footprints in the snow due to the diffuse light conditions.

Misuk, a very strong and capable climber, waits for the rest of the group to arrive.

. . . and along comes Trisha...
pan point 2-2004-15.jpg
Well, at least she's still smiling . . .does that mean it's still fun?

Trisha and I back at the Paradise parking lot.
