Site InformationI'm Brian Kenison and welcome to my website. It's devoted to my 'alpine adventures' into the backcountry of Washington and beyond, and is something I thoroughly enjoy whether alone or with friends. I have been hiking, scrambling and climbing since 1993, mostly here in Washington, at which time I joined the Mountaineers. I have taken courses up to and including their Intermediate Climbing course which teaches the basics of lead climbing in both the technical and social aspects. For me, climbing is a rewarding activity that challenges my mind, my body and my inner fortitude. I enjoy sharing my experiences with others, which is the result of this website. This website was designed, written and set up by my very talented son, Matthew who is attending Graduate school at the University of Washington and is furthering his study in Computer Science and will soon continue for his PhD.
